In 2019, my husband Mathew and I, sold everything we owned and bought a run-down, 200 year old farmhouse on 50-acres on the coast of Maine. Our dream was to start a sanctuary for farm animals. The original barn was long gone so we gave ourselves three months to build one. Soon after, animals needing a safe haven started to arrive.
The house still needs renovation work, but we are doing our best to put it back to how it would have looked when it was first built in 1807. We do everything ourselves including caring for permaculture gardens, animals, nature, and our vast forestland. We love old fashioned things like antiques, Tasha Tudor, Beatrix Potter and cottagecore aesthetics.

Wow. Eleven horses !! Lucky !! And they seem like they know there places and behaved pretty well. They certainly are beautiful!!! Not a huge fan of pigs - just bacon lol. Thanks for vid I really liked it. And I love gloomy days.. start to miss them while living in Florida….

I really enjoyed seeing the horses. I'll get to know their names at some point. Joey, Go-Go, Tristan, Royal, Foxglove, Bill, Bear, Beauty. I've heard those names. but I know there are more, and I will figure them out. I'll just have to learn which name belongs to which horse.
