Thank you for another great video today. I too enjoyed the timelapse although I never doubted that the whole process would be very time-consuming. My most favourite thing of all though was the picture of grandma with her new baby girl. Beautiful.

I loved the “day in your quilting life” video; I can tell that you never have trouble getting all of your steps in!! I really enjoyed it. So many beautiful quilts, as always. Such beautiful variety in fabrics, patterns, and pantographs! Great job. I truly appreciate all you do to share everything with us. As well, I really enjoy your newsletter too. Loved the horse quilt by DeeDee! I do enjoy trying new ways to create blocks; I may eventually decide on my favorite though.

I first learned the one-at-a-time method and thought that was good enough for years, although I bought Eleanor Burns’ geese rulers years ago-but didn’t use them. Then I started my present quilt and it is a beast with 64 flying geese in the border alone, and in different colors, so I pulled out my rulers, watched Kimberly on FQS about 16 times and dove in. It’s GREAT. Especially if you have a million to do! So I will keep on using this method. I also used economy block papers and square-in-square papers-in other words, every assist I could use for this quilt! One more border and it’s done! Yay! My favorite quilt this week is the Happy Stripes. What a great scrap quilt that would be! And it looks far more sophisticated than it actually is!

I have enjoyed watching your videos to see all the lovely quilts you are working on, as well as your projects and all about your lovely family. I’ve used my sister’s Oliso, so I can understand why you chose that one. I’m on my second Rowenta. I spent $$$ on the first and $$ on the second. The first didn’t last because I was likely not good about emptying the distilled water when I was done pressing for the day, and itstarting spitting out brown steam! I haven’t started using steam with the second… just a mist sprayer when needed, and it has been working just fine.

My first patchwork was a bag with flying geese on front. It was no waste I had no idea what it was about. Since then I have always used it. I have found it difficult to keep straight and was happy to square them up. Sheer luck earlier today I watched the lovely Lisa Bongean and Alysha from Primitive Gatherings . They were doing flying geese with precision and no need to square up ! It was called weekend Quilts if anyone wants t o watch. Love from wet SWFrance ❤

Another fabulous video Tammie! Thanks for sharing your talents and the quilts you’ve had the pleasure to long arm. I have used the Wing Clipper tool by Deb Tucker of Studio 180 Design for so many years I cannot imagine going back. It is a “4 at a time” method, but with slightly oversized pieces you are able to trim with the Wing Clipper tool for accuracy every time. No noses or wings cut off for me! 😉

I love the 2 new edge to edge pantographs you added in this week's video. I have been able to avoid making any geese to date...I guess it is time to tear off the band-aid and see which method works best for me. The current quilt top I am piecing has a million stitch & flips, so perhaps I should start with the single goose method. I enjoyed seeing the wedding pics. You obviously have a great love for your kids and grands! Glad your toe made it through the day. It is amazing how much such a tiny body part can make your body hurt!

Don’t hse steam too often with the Oliso. I’m on my 2nd in four years and it is leaking water all over the place. I won’t buy another one. They replaced the first one for me under warranty but the same thing has happened with my second. I use steam to iron my linen clothing and when I’m making clothing as well as when I’m final pressing a quilt top so not every day. I use the water they recommend but for the price of this iron it shouldn’t leak so quickly. I love the lift aspect and the weight is great for pressing. I’m going to try something else this time and just use the Oliso without water as long as this one lives.
