One of my favourite jobs when I was little was getting the last bit out of the trailer, a bit of shoveling and a lot of climbing up and sliding down the floor of the trailer, good job the auger was slow😊

Tipping corn out of trailer chutes getting the corners is a pain, all came to a halt in the partly lifted trailer when the guy with the shovel slipped and broke an elbow, it was down to me to find a solution fast, Altering the trailer was a winter job, I just knocked up a telescopic small box section with plastic plate, pulling every grain out through the chute worked a treat, any one seen on the many camera's at the farm in a lifted trailer got 1 warning, no second warning!!

We have a small scraper we use to level the seed hoppers, it would work a treat in the trailer corners,

when using duals, the outer tyre is supposed to have less pressure than the inner to relieve the leverage on the axles by being able to flex more, if using triples, the psi in the outer tyre is usully only one or two psi

The outer tyre should have a lower PSI than the inner tyre. This is to reduce the loading on the axles/hubs.

Very interesting, maybe that’s why the front hubs have been cracking but Case or our local tyre company have not suggested this.

Shame the beans have to go all the way to Essex to be dried just 2% and then come all the way back! Puts a few miles on them, but still better than coming from abroad I guess!

It’s too small a quantity for us to dry. Agrii have drying bins which works for trials and small quantities, it made sense to go there,

Interesting video as usual Andrew. Can't recall whether you've mentioned previously if you'll be allowed to visit the Princess Foods plant at Wisbech to view the Baked Bean manufacturing process or not, as per your videos at British Sugar? It would certainly make an interesting video, if you are. Lovely to see how the careful land management between the fields and the Stewardship program is having a beneficial impact on the wildlife. And, talking of " wildlife", it would be great to see a little coverage of Gnarla (apologies for the wild guess at the spelling 😅) and Frankie too.

When the beans are dried, I will be going to the factory to see them going into a tin, the BBC are really keen to follow the whole process so will be in tow. I’ll do a bit more on Nala and Frankie in the coming weeks. I saw someone at a summer show and they said I focus too much on them!! 🤷‍♂️ I didn’t think I did but hey ho!!

Nobody wants farmers now. I had a very good heifer that hurt her leg straying. Asked Cornish Mutual insurance if covered yeah no problem, had her shot and now they wont pay citing over 30 days yet neither agent nor claims dept mentioned any time scale when i spoke to them beforehand £1800 out. Now heating boiler has packed up £4.5k which i havnt got, house is cold nonhot water and im pretty much wondering if anything is worth it anymore.
