The owners better DONATE some thousands to pay for Miriam's resting place. If her family wants to bury her in Mexico...these employers BETTER COME FORWARD WITH THE BLOOD MONEY TO PAY FOR THAT, AS WELL. I am very familiar with Mexican farm laborers. I AM WHITE...married into a family of immigrants that worked on a huge farm. It is incredibly hard work. This is absolutely NOT OKAY...to show such disrespect to a human that was an EMPLOYEE FOR YEARS. My husband got off the farm...got his American Citizenship and into a great job once we were engaged...but his Paisanos from his hometown in Mexico...are still working ON THOSE FARMS...40 years LATER. I hope that truck driver gets investigated and charged. I have a lot of respect for Immigrants' work ethics...and ZERO respect for the Field Boss and Owners. If the Community and Owners are White...they LIKELY won't give a crap about that immigrant's demise...since they told the workers to WORK AROUND HER DEAD BODY. MY GOD! It will be up to her friends/Paisanos to grieve her DEATH and follow her wishes. So many TRASHY PIECES OF SH*T IN THIS COUNTRY. Trust me. The family got a lawyer fifteen minutes after the accident. LOOK at this video. They've already been prepared and schooled on how to act and what to say. This video is a preview of what you'll see in the depositions. It's almost silly, and this "reporter" is egging the whole narrative (poor, hardworking, middle aged female farm worker almost MURDERED by corrupt, money hungry farming factory - and witnesses FORCED to dig up carrots around her body) on. It's very sad for sure, but people die at work and it's very tragic. I'm sure this family will be compensated for their loss, and I offer my condolences but please, keep the judgmental part out of the local news; it's both inappropriate and unprofessional on this "news" station's part.

I’m so sorry for her daughter!!!!! The other workers must have been traumatized by what happened. I’m afraid the workers won’t feel safe ever again, since they have been treated like disposable goods. The truck’s back up warning system was not working and the workers had already complained about this particular truck driver…. I understand farming, since I was a farmer most of my life. There are pressures to get the crop in at the right time, very little money to work with, equipment breaking that is unbelievably expensive to repair. But a dangerous driver is not worth employing.
