Farm Aid

12 жыл бұрын

Neil Young performs Ian Tyson's "Four Strong Winds" with Willie Nelson and Mickey Raphael at the Farm Aid concert in Louisville, Kentucky on October 1st, 1995. Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers. Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's board of directors in 2001.
For more information about Farm Aid, visit: farmaid.org/youtube
Farm Aid's performances are donated by the artists in order to raise funds and raise awareness for family farmers. They've raised their voices to help - what can you do?

I guess I’m the only 17 year old Brazilian boy that’s listening to this masterpiece in 2024. Makes me sad to think about it, but unfortunately I think my generation is heading to a wrong path in music. It’s a bummer that most young people won’t have the opportunity to get to know Neil Young’s song. Anyways, congratulations to these musicians, they truly are a blessing to the this world and will always have a special place in my heart.

And Neil’s voice gets you that memory & that ache so well But it’s only now I realised it’s not a Neil Young song It’s Ian Tyson’s . A song writer from Alberta . And Neil happened to listen to it in a diner & would love to put in a coin in the juke box to repeat listen to it This is the beauty of listening to You Tube. I've loved this song ever since 8th grade in '69/'70 when our glee club student teacher taught us this song in 3 part harmony and we sang it at our Spring Folk Concert, accompanied on guitar by me and another classmate!
