Brings back lots of memories. Dad had a 1967 806 diesel on our potato farm. I loved that ol' tractor. Spent a lot of time working it. Love the look and the sound.

I think wish this one was a 65 or later! Be easier to get injection pump parts but I hear ya, they have a nice sound, and are really awesome looking and working tractors. Pack a lot of punch for a “small” tractor nowadays

A lot of sparrows died in the driving shed from cancer breathing in all that smoke when I used to start our 756 in the winter LOL a good block heater and throw the battery charger on it a few hours before you wanted to use it, they would always start

Dang, that's one of the OLD 806 units with just that little 6v generator to top up all those batteries!

Yep! It’s a 64 with an IH built RD pump. Would like to switch it over to an alternator at some point

I'd much rather throw on a starter than ruin an engine with ether.

On older tractor engines starting fluid is fine as long as its not a excessive amount . Usally the older tractors had a place to screw on a ether can , we had a 806 and I believe it had a ether can port . We also had a JD7520 brand new that refused to start in temps under 40 degrees , we would use half a can of ether on it . The 7520 lived on for 8500 hours and is still running in Southern Ohio .

@@jeffanderlik7695 ...lol...Try starting some of those older tractors without it . I worked at a diesel shop and only saw problems only when ether was used with glow plugs or pre heaters .

@@toledojeeper2932 I've done Army maintenance for 30 years and ether is all but outlawed. Our old Minneapolis Moline G VI would only start with ether, but got that way because it was previously owned by a construction company and those boys were terrible operators. Again, just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
