Fodder is exactly what most wild animals are looking for when foraging. Young, fresh, tender greens that are in loose soil. Its really no different than bean sprouts. My wife and I want to build a system very similar to this but a much smaller scale. I would be happy with 2 small trays per day. Seeing these animals going crazy over it is awesome though. I like that their barn is so clean. And the animals seem so happy.

@Justme0073
@Justme0073 7 ай бұрын
Barley fodder is rich in nutrients, providing a good source of vitamins, minerals, and fiber. It contains essential nutrients such as protein, carbohydrates, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, and vitamins A, B, and E. Additionally, barley fodder is high in chlorophyll, which offers various health benefits. It's commonly used as feed for livestock due to its nutritional content and ability to promote healthy growth and development. On average, barley fodder typically contains around 12-20% protein by dry weight.

Around Dallas, Tx, USA anywhere for a 100 miles, the seed cost an exorbitant amount. I haven't checked in a year or so, but when I bought some, their best price would make the fodder cost more than our $150 dollar ROLLED hay we had to buy for winter and summer.,
