HELP US BUILD AN ALTERNATIVE MEDIA OUTLET: lemediapourtous.fr/participez/
In Colmar, a small town in Alsace, 42 producers gathered to buy a Lidl supermarket, which, in the hopes of selling their products directly to the consumer, they transformed into a place called “Farmer’s Heart”. Their goal is bringing consumers closer to producers, and thus bypassing the big retailers who impose their prices on producers without worrying about the survival or well-being of the French peasantry. In this context, Farmer’s Heart reflects the hope of the 42 farmers in saving their trade against the insatiable appetite of multinational corporations. Vincent Lapierre and his Média Pour Tous inevitably went to meet them.
