As a lot of farmers are near the end of their career, tell me who is going to buy all the farms that come on the market as they wont be forsale at the Tractor Tax bill price , or is this designed for a Land Market crash . In time there will be thousands of acres forsale. What happens if there is an early death in the next generation when they have just paid the Tractor Tax on the previous generation ?, guess we start again and pay another Tractor Tax !

There are thousands of acres for sale already, but farmers can’t afford to buy it you wally, taxing landowners like Dyson will free up thousands more acres which because of covenants to restrict the land to farming only, will bring down the price of land, the farmers don’t want land to be cheap though, they want to hang on to it so no one can join their exclusive club. The peasants with a few hundred acres won’t be affected by this tax numpty.

Tax bill of 600k he says so gets first 1m tax free and 20% on the balance.so he is valueing his 260 acres at 4m pounds .this guy i full of shit

Based on his figures he must sell 40 acres to pay the 600k .surely he has some savings and could mortgage against the land .so maybe sell 20 acres ......he is being a drama queen
