My main experiences with the instrument was back at the height of Ska, a fair number of bands had bass Sax in place of bass guitar. The thing really pushes air into the crowd, even as a small PA pushes the rest of the instruments, you can feel the player’s breath going into your chest

I have put a ton of thought into the settings I would LOVE to play bass/contrabass sax in. Carrying the low end with a tuba in a brass band would be SO cool to me. Bass sax in a prog rock band like Thank You Scientist also seems like it would be extremely fun.
