Your videos were very helpful when I started chainsaw milling. I have the G660, and it’s been very reliable. I finally found a tree that maxes out by 36 inch mill, so I have the 48 inch mill you are using here on its way. Very excited to use it

Cy, looking forward to see how it handles. Also good to see this up close which is why they have you checking it out. LOL!

The Granberg version has new billet aluminum parts, much beefier version. That said, the cast aluminum parts on their old design is no slouch. Which this is a copy of. As long as the graduation marks on the posts are identical, you'll have no issues in cutting perfect lumber. Honestly, I prefer chainsaw milling to my bandsaw sawmill.

Yes but the granberg is 2 to 3 times more expensive too. My friend Will has a granberg and to be honest this one is identical in nearly every way. It seems to be as beefy as his and the "one wrench to rule them all" is real nice. His, for some reason, takes 2 different sizes of tool.

Oh and for logs 24 inches and under I still like my Bandsaw mill, much faster and less waste.

@@DIYwithUncleCy , you have a bandmill? How did I miss that?

This is exactly like my grandberg. It's definitely lighter.

Thanks for sharing. I saw Holzforma had a 36” bar option, where do get a bigger bar?

You can find them on Ebay but it does take some looking. easier to find 42 inch than 48 inch also.
