Just got done watching Pete on "just a few acres farm" rebuild his farmall 20, he ended up doing 21 videos and replaced much, much more that he originally thought, but he also has done this with 2 or 3 other Farmall tractors so don't feel bad about having to do more than you first thoought. Don't ever change Tyler, I appreciate all that you do for the farm and especially for your wonderful family. God bless you young man.

I love those old tractors. My Dad's uncle had one and I got to drive it sometimes when we were baling hay. Baling hay was one task that was fun but we didn't like the dust. We had a river on our property so when we were done we jumped in and got the dust off and cooled off at the same time. Those were the real "good old days". Thanks for your videos. They are a favorite.

Tyler, your breaking my heard on your weather woes. I’m sitting here in SW OHIO with 5” of snow on the ground, and 5 more on the way tonight. Lows will only be in the upper 20s. Not bad for late January, but would take your “chilly” SUNNY days, ALL DAY LONG over rain/snow/sleet and of course, the dreaded ice. So SUCK IT UP BUTTERCUP! LOL!

Thanks for reinforcing the Idea of people thinking you're crazy for what you're doing. I know I'm doing just that in developing my orchard. What fun its going to be in a few years. Do others in the area use big square bales ? Driving up 80 to Auburn then south on 49 hardly ever see any bales at all in the fields. Round, Square, big or small.

You will always have your naysayers so don't worry about it. I think you are doing great. You do with what you have until you need to upgrade, then you do a top-notch job in your upgrade. I used to have cows until my age started to catch up with me, now I do hay. I do round rolls AND squares, there is more $$ in squares, but take more work. Good video, keep them coming. BTW, I'm enjoying your tractor rebuild, make us proud!

Tyler, it's funny how people thought you were wrong getting a round baler. I had the same thing last year when I bought my little 3 by 3 round baler for the thirty acres that I hay for my sons sheep and our butcher beef. After last season now all the people who thought I was nuts want to buy the little 3 by 3 bales because they could pick them up with their little 25 horse tractors. Sorry, none for sale. Nice job

This tractor tear down is extremely interesting!! I think that you have addressed this before but I don’t remember why do you put water in the tire; weight/balance? Personally I think that the piece of iron under the screw jack was a great idea, at least it made me less nervous🤣. Great work and video.

FTR, it is my conclusion 45 years ago that if you had a old tractor that will work for you and you4 intended use, I makes very good sense in putting some money and labor into it. It’s always been cheaper than buying new unless operations change and you need a new write off. Most of the time when you replace a car or truck is because it has rotted out because we know it has had proper maintenance for 250,000 miles.

Have you considered pouring cement as a floor for the hay feeders you made bc of the MUD? Round bales is the smartest hay bailing method bc its cost effective & requires less labor. Regardless of what ppl say, you MADE THE SMARTEST DECISION, PERIOD!!!! Round bails are cheaper to produce and can be stored outside were as Square bales cost more to produce, triple the labor, can't be stored outside & can't get wet. A SMART Farmer can't afford to square bail!

Good day sir, I live in Wisconsin and everyone who has cattle runs round bales. Only some horse people run small squares. Also, I am trying to figure out why you only bring 1 round bale in the trailer to the cows? You made it big enough for more than one bale but I have only ever seen you put in 1 bale. How come? Have a great day. Nate

I love using round bales, but then again, I am in Texas and there are round bales in almost every field here. Texas is more of cattle country rather than horse country. The only issue I see with using that 8N would be the weight of the bales. However, you have the back wheels weighted on the 8N so that should counter the front weight.
