Love the color combo. It’s practical to use the thin mdf in the addition of your board and batten, it doesn’t effect the baseboard yet adds dimension. You are so right! Wainscoting color should go to the floor! Otherwise it breaks up the visual and doesn’t have the same impact… great job

I don't understand putting a small pail inside the bucket. When you wash a section of dirty floor aren't you then putting that dirt right back into the clean water pail? 😕 Anyway, love the guest room! And I totally agree on the baseboards! It looks so beautiful!!

I have never seen anyone cut two coats and then paint the wall. The professional painters I have seen roll-cut-cut-roll in order not to have shadowing in the application. Also, if you put the open part of the roller on the left, the pressure on the entire length on the roller will be more even.
