Such cute projects, just one question, what is the purpose of putting wax over the paint?

Hi! Chalk paint goes over everything but doesn’t give a durable finish. So, on the blocks because I know I’ll be pulling them in and out to change the number, wax would give it a more durable finish. And with the houses it will just keep my paint from coming off. You can also use polycrylic. I like polycrylic for furniture pieces because you can paint over it if you want to change the color on a piece without having to remove it. Wax you have to remove before you can repaint.
