Nice job! Love it. I’d probably do this but with a white wash instead of a dark stain as I love that French country brighter look! I appreciate both though. Well done

Great Job. Good to see a young man applying himself and not laying around on a game or on a computer. Keep up the great work and continue to do what you are doing and you will get better and better. In process of also building a king bed from wormy chesnutt. Been a 2 year job with work and all and the bed is the last piece on a 8 piece wormy chesnutt master bedroom set.

So I’ve watch the video a few times and looked at the cut sheet you have.... I see you used 2 2x4s in the video but the cut sheet shows one at 80 inches??? Is there anyway you can give me a little more guidance.... Also the two lengths of 2x6s what two go long ways and what two go up right length wise. Thank you very much

Since this is Home Depot pine do you pre=treat the wood prior to the staining in order to prevent blotching? Starting this build as soon as I get your answer.
@TheReformationWoodshop2 жыл бұрын
I didn’t treat the wood. Not all dimensional lumber is prone to blotching but if you are worried you can use a wood conditioner first. Good luck 👍🏻

@TheReformationWoodshop3 жыл бұрын
The spacing is completely up to you as long as you make sure your bottom rail is flushed up with the top of the mattress. With this particular headboard it’s about 26 inches if I remember correctly.

Is this king size? I’m trying to gather up exactly what I need for this project. It may be listed however, can you tell me what I size lumber I need to buy for the cut list. Maybe simple math to a woodworker but not to me haha! How many 2x6’s and how many 1x4’s? Them being measured already cut is what’s getting me! So precut measurements is what I need. Thank you!

That was awesome great work! One question tho. The cut list you hv displayed, Thats just for the head board correct? It didn’t state anywhere exactly where each board went in your design so I’m trying to figure out exactly where Each one went in the design. I’m a newbie as you can tell, but making sure i know where each board belongs before i give this one a go! Of course there r boards that are obvious in design but double checking on the ones that are closer in length Thx again!!
