Everytime I hear this tune reminds me being off school sick back when life was so simple it's a shame you don't see TV like this this generation wouldn't appreciate classic TV

It was our primary school generation's Ready Steady Cook, to be perfectly fair to daytime TV. I mean, the littl'uns now get Antiques Road shows as afternoon telly when they're off sick. What *will* they make of daytime tv twenty years from now?

Never forget this theme!. Remember to this day watching an episode of this with the wind and rain battering against the windows one lunchtime.I had managed to talk my mum into letting stay school off as i felt a bit off colour. She had been threatening me all morning that she didn't really believe me and would be forcing me into school that afternoon.I was sat in the chair praying that she would get so wrapped up in Farmhouse Kitchen and then the gossip in the local paper that her threats would come to nothing. My prayers were ANSWERED!. With just 5 mins of FK left she let her eyes drop on to the paper and got so wrapped up she didn't "come to" until Crown Court came on @ 1:30, FIFTEEN minutes after the school had restarted.Faced with dragging ME through the storm and getting soaked inthe process AND having to walk in on an already started lesson she chose the easy option and watched C.C. with me.It gave me a WONDERFUL, naughty feeling to be snug at home with mum when my classmates were being given the "benefit" (ha, bloody ha!) of Mrs Carter's "education"!. P.S. I always thaught that the guest cooks looked TERRIFIED of Dorothy Sleightholme. Not surprised, she looked like stereotypical Les Dawson "Yurkshur" mama!.(complete with 'tash and rolling pin).
