My mother, who is a great woman, taught me absolutely nothing about homemaking while I was growing up. I started playing catch up once I got married and I'm really trying to get it together now that I have kids. I learn everything from you! Thank you for all you do. I'm trying a sourdough starter today and just got my first batch of cabbage fermenting the other day.

I think something most people don’t understand about your cooking flow and constant work ethic in your home and kitchen is you need to be home to run a home like this. You addressed it once in a video and it made so much sense. You need to be homeschooling, a home based family, not a ton of activities or driving to and from everywhere to serve your family like this 3x a day

We have 4 children. Even with only one activity (sport) per child, we end up having to leave the house almost daily (library, homeschool group play dates, just going to parks for a walk to enjoy more nature). We just eat the simpler food (one pot meals: soups, stews), that I make in big batches twice a week. All we need to do is to warm it up when we get back home. Also, we always have some fresh bread from the bread maker, that my oldest girls make themselves. For the weekends we make fancier meals that everyone is looking forward to. Works perfectly for someone who can't afford to stay around the house. P.S. For breakfast we eat lots of porridge. It is easy to make and is a hot meal, (my children just don't like cold meals like cereal). It can be a different one each day: cream of wheat, buckwheat, rice, oatmeal, quinoa, you name it. Add your favorite topping/fruit, few boiled eggs- nutritious breakfast is ready. This is how our ancestors used to eat. They just couldn't afford to prepare 3 meals from scratch per day. Pardon me for my "composition" here ;-)

I love how I can watch you and think, "She is not doing that the right way." And then it comes out just fine... and when it doesn't you just say, "it'll do." The lesson isn't in the cooking, it's in the attitude. But it really does almost always come out amazing. I am so glad you leave in the times it doesn't, though. You show us how this is a learning process for all of us.

Is it weird of me to say I've cried thinking about what it would be like to have a friend like Lisa? I'm a stay at home mother of 3 kids. My best friend is my mom but otherwise I don't have any friends. I just keep to myself and tend to our home and my family. I've been so inspired by this content that in the last 6 months, I've completely done a 180° from who I was before. Just last night, I made the foccocia recipe from the blog, (farmhouse on boone, of course) and turned it into a deep dish pizza. The thought came 4 hours before the pizza was done and it was phenomenal. Everything I know about sourdough was learned through Lisa's content and blog. My love and appreciation for my little humble home, and caring for it, and just taking care of things even if I'm not in love with specific things, all this mindset came from Lisa. I'm pretty content living my life, but I sometimes truly wish I had a friend like Lisa. I look forward to these videos every week. It's a shame that there aren't people like you living on every corner. You really are an amazing inspiration and an amazing human. Thank you ❤

I also cook this way and I love it. Mondays are a lighter homeschool day so I can get our household on track after busy weekends. I defrost a ton of meat, prep my veggies from the farmer's market or garden, soak grains for the week and start some sourdough. It doesn't take much time and helps me know what I have. I’m a SAHM and wife so I clearly have the time but even when I was in the workforce I was able to accomplish it. Whew 😂 I got the style of this video was to fly through a week but the pace was so fast, I'll be reading the transcript to catch a couple details. I have always appreciated the fact that you are not one of the oh so slow content creators and I enjoy your normal pace which says "I'm a busy mom and I know you are too"! Thank you so much!

You are such a blessing to so many. Even though I am a vegetarian grandmother, I draw so much inspiration from your work ethic that combines efficiency, creativity and love. Thank you.

I’m working on getting into a better flow. I think it’s just learning a skill, mastering it until it becomes second nature. Then as you are able to that without much thought, you focus on a new skill or habit. You bring great motivation and inspiration Lisa. I appreciate how you demonstrate that it’s doable. ❤

Thank you for showing me an example of your kitchen flow, that's the only way I learn is by seeing. I wasn't shown anything regarding running a home growing up, (and no one was really cooking much)... and so due to a few issues, I've been struggling for years with young kids. Thanks for the visual encouragement!

This is my favorite video of yours! Well done! I have 9 children. I used to meal plan when I had fewer. Now I do something like this when I want to have it together. I love beans. So one of my kitchen reboot items is to start some beans soaking.

I love this style of video please do more. I become a SAHM in 2019 and your channel has taught me sooo much and I’m still learning and adding skills as the years (and babies lol) go by. Thank you!

You really lit me up and have me excited to get back in my kitchen tomorrow (Monday)! It's just me and my husband at home but this is a great inspiration for me all the same. I am going to really pour into these projects this week and enjoy it.
