I'm surprised she doesn't do a whole lot of underground farming that would make it where they could use volcanic vents in the area along with getting below the freeze line and that area and other than fresh air vents and Light thence it'd be able to stand any winner at least the consistency the temperature if they want below the freeze line would least be abuzz above 51 degrees Fahrenheit and let alone it be much easier to control the soil saturation level to minimize Water waste

The fields in the states have a lot of big Green Machines in the fields. There are some Claus tractors and self-propelled combines showing up the last few years. They look pretty modern like Deere. Nobody plows here anymore, plows sit in the woods rusted up. Light tillage or no-till is the rage has taken over. If there is some new ground they run big disc.

Russia just introduced a new law allowing farmers to build homes on agricultural land ranging up to 500 m2 and taking up no more than 1/400 of the entire size of the lot. It should be encouraging for mid-scale farmers who might want better accommodations than those seen in 6:38. Villages in Russia are often quite spartan and partly deserted. Due to Russia's registration laws, living in such places means you don't have access to the country's better schools and hospitals, which are usually limited to cities with more than 300k people.

Still ploughing, using chemical fertiliser and biocides? They aren't farming they're going backwards. *Regenerative Agriculture* is the key to lowered farming costs, better and more nutritious yields, drought and flood proofing, etc. Seriously how anyone can just ignore the complete solution is mind-bendingly stupid. If you need Agribusiness you will end up giving the keys to a businessman who would be smart enough (we hope) to do it right. Once the dirt is replaced with living soil there is no end to productivity; multiple uses of the same plot of ground, climate depending of course.

As long as I know, regular plowing effectivelly destroying rodents, which reducing need of chemicals, plowed soil alowing to winter frosts reach deeper in soil and kill more harmful bacteria and fungi + during spring snow melting absorb more water.
@peterclark62902 жыл бұрын
@@Lea_Kaderova Rodents require predators (and for every pest there are ten of these). The team of successional plants, bacteria, fungi, bacteria, arthropods and worms *MADE the soil* in the first place. When humans disturb this system it can get into imbalance. Regenerative Ag is the knowledge that we only have to understand and respect natural methods to take advantage of it. Less cost, less stress, better produce.
@prof19825 ай бұрын
Min tillage and so called no till were tried all over the UK many years ago ,it worked for some not for others depends on soil weight and conditions ,most went back to ploughing .
@peterclark62905 ай бұрын
@@prof1982 No till is only one (and the first) of the five basic Regen Ag recommendations. The others are b. leave armour c. always a living root d. biodiversity and e. animal impact. Farmers are a by-in-large a reactionary group. IOW don't follow the mob if you want to succeed. There are many more suggestions: actively supporting a local ecosystem, composting and extracts, fungal:bacterial ratios, keyline, compaction treatments. Too much? Find another source of income.
