I am thinking of getting this game and by watching a bunch of lets plays I was coming to the conclusion of just harvesting grass and selling wool like you did. What is the end objective of the game, to buy up every field?

to run a profitable farm, own as much as possible. And I suppose have fun doing it. You can always make things harder in the game to make it more interesting.

no, you have to have a mod installed caled "maintenance mod" or something like that. maybe repair mod.

you can do it without the mmod, just sell everything, rent a tractor baler and wrapper and sell all the bales . it turns them to silage bales as soon as you wrap them

hey FF, I installed the repair vehicle mod from the in-game mod menu and selected it before starting a game. I am not getting the repair prompt when I approach a vehicle. Am I doing something wrong?

I think you may have pasted the wrong link for the trailer you used? I downloaded it and there wasn't any option for autoloading, and the description doesn't mention it. Note to current players (as of Oct 2017).. the mod to allow repairs now only works if you have a Vehicle Workshop. you must park your vehicle inside Vehicle Workshop's radius, THEN walk next to the vehicle as described above.

Using the same method myself. Sold all my equipment, bought a decent tractor, the ultima wrap baler, a windrower, a mower and a bale traler. Made huge money this way.

Well done FF, Like you I sussed the grass and sheep economy (use the WIFO MS 275-H grass/silage pusher mod with the tractor for keeping the wool bales fed to the sale point), and then CUT OUT ALL the baling and wrapping, and simply install a mod called GTX Mods Fermenter 5000 - in goes the grass out comes the silage, and Digester to make BIO DIESEL with the LIZARD Liquid Separator - another new economy breaking out in the game and making you lots of money. (I'm on Canadian National V6 incidentally and my sheep ALSO need Silage!). To speed things up even more, I cut the grass with the KRONE GTXM Big M mod, and that cuts grass believe me!! Then I collect it with the 59,000ltr Strautman Terra-Vitesse CFS 5201 DO mod, getting a lot more grass collected and tipped in the Fermenter 5000 a lot, lot quicker. I do envy the free water you get on that map, as I cannot find any free water on the Canadian Nat, so I installed the Fire hydrant mod next to the sheep water container to fill up the water bowser, and then tip straight into the water container without moving the bowser. Using a mod to repair and sell vehicles for more than normal (they're old and you get too much money from them). You rush the game to earn a lot. I respect this and it's a good idea if you want to play this as an arcade game. I'd prefer to use a fronloader and stock/sell bales manually but I understand other ways to do it like auto-baleloaders. That's how I've been working my whole life, that's why I see that way more realistic.

Lol. Don't listen to him. Here's how you make instant bank. 1. Sell all equipment/silo supply 2. Buy chainsaw a good tractor, log fork, front loader and 10 tree pallets. (The 40$ ones that create pine trees.) And tree planter, plus a good weight 3. Buy a small field near the lumber yard (use loan if needed) 4. Plant 200 trees in field, in neat rows! Cut them down, one row at a time and cut them into thirds. 5, take them to the sell point. The 200 trees got me over a million, easy. And it was actually very fun. Never once went into negative funds

what I did was sell every tractor and shelter, bought a fastrac, harvested anx sold every crop again, rented a 150hp Valtra N Sow the fields for a second time, and now I returned the Valtra, sold the seeder and got a Fendt Vario 724 and a Rapid A 600, and rented a front loader. I know its not the most profitable way, but I like my way.

The way I make real money is to sell off any machinery I think I won't need then go to the shop and buy or lease an auto load bale truck and trailer then I buy round silage bales and take them to the barn or sale point. After you do this several times you will have plenty to buy better equipment and start growing crops. I grow mainly soy bean as they pay best and I grow sheep as the wool is also a good payer. It also helps to put in some farm income items so you have a regular amount each day.

Just got FS17, I was a little slow off the mark. Finding it difficult to get to grips with the controls though. I have a keyboard, mouse & gamepad controller. It's a maze to find what does what and how to call up menus quickly i.e. the controls menu. Any tips for a 100% beginner regards controls and how to get the best out of the game. I was getting confused and stuck and almost gave up on the game (because I can't find what does what or remember what does what) I seem to constantly be in the menu. Cheers

it does, but you have to be fast because the price can drop if you dont have any wool to sell for a moment or 2. its best to keep a steady flow of wool into the sell point.

Good video, I think you would've avoided the backlash if you had just not enabled the mod for the beginning. All it basically does is increase your starting cash. You would have still be able to do everything else you did (I think at least, i didn't calculate the money)

yes its automatic. I think you have to press X then it works and make sure you have the right bale selected.

Hi, been watching your vids for 2 days straight now ever since i got the switch edition 2 days ago as well lol. I think im gonna try this path instead of grinding with jobs to get money. theres a mod thats called the money cheat box each one cost a thousand and gives you 100,000 and hour so i just use that speed up time buy the big stuff then have fun!

Its not technically cheating, but it's a very cheap and unrealistic way to play the game. Each to their own i guess, but i would never start a game this way. Part of the fun for me is the grind of the game.

helping out your neighbours and getting paid for that is not cheating imho. you still have to invest time and work to get money after all, not like those disgusting money mods that give you a million dollars at the press of a button. also not unrealistic. your neighbours are hiring helpers, just like you do on your own farm, and in this case the helper is you because you have some time to spare. prices for some missions could be nerfed, though

I've bought the same windrower and mowers you got and performed what you did but got no rolls on the field and its been over a day with fast growing enabled. How long does it take for them to appear?

check on your map to see if the grass has grown back, you can fertilize it too.
