Its a jake brake. It shut off the fuel to a few or all the cylinders when slowing down. The drive can select how much jake to apply. Very helpful when trying to slow down or maintain speed on a grade. Engine brake.

The side of the map that you are on is actually Iowa, and the other side of the river is Wisconsin. I know this because the town that the shop is in has a sign that says McGregor, IA or something like that. Great video either way!

Called a "jake break" or "engine break" and basically semis have those for heavy loads or along those lines, it uses its own engine power to slow down and doesn't wear down brakes

Dual tires on the grain cart tractor do not provide more power. The only time we ran duals was when we cut corn in Nebraska. Farmers didn't want ruts or heavy tracks from running singles. I was a custom harvest guy for 3 years. Ran a crew with 4 combines and 2 grain carts.
