Farming sustainably on the North York Moors

This film highlights the work of the Trevelyan family - Nelly, Philip and Matthew at Hill Top Farm in Spaunton, North Yorkshire. They bought the farm in 1974, which was certified organic in 1985. In the film they describe their work producing Shearling meat that is sold locally.
In 1997 Trevelyan founded the "Lazy Dog Tool Company", which specialises in handmade hand tools for "chemical-free weed control". This has featured on Gardeners' World (2002). In 2003 it was awarded a Green Apple Award by The Green Organisation. In 2005 the family also started a flour milling company "Yorkshire Organic Millers" and mill locally-grown organic wheat. This operation is now run by miller Joe Coughlan. On 23 January 2008 Hill Top Farm was visited by HRH The Prince of Wales.

AGREAT DOCUMENTARY, but one thing is needful.Jesus is the only way to life and happiness.God told noah to kill animals for food.if we all only ate veg then there would not be enough food to go around the world.thats why we have so much grass.the mountains in yorkshire cannot sustain wheat etc. as a norm, but sheep yes.God so arranged the world that we cannot live and eat without different foods, for protein, carbohydrates etc.a balanced diet, and regular exercise helps keep a healthy body.a healthy soul is made by believing in Jesus who did the work and paid the price for our sin.budda is dead but Jesus rose again from the dead and gives eternal happiness to those who trust him alone for salvation
