Farmingdale is the latest Long Island school district hiring armed guards

There's an intense debate on whether to arm school security after Farmingdale schools became the latest on Long Island to plan to hire armed guards. CBS New York's Jennifer McLogan reports.

This is how we become accepting if a police state. First we need to protect the children, then we don’t even feel safe enough that we demand armed guards in all grocery stores and at every train platform… WHERE DOES IT STOP? Did you do fire drills or bomb drills in school?

It’s not good news. Nothing has happened at the specific school district and aside from fights, there’s no serious danger at Farmingdale… except the Trumpeteers riding around with their “F Biden” flags. I don’t like him either, but I also believe behaving like that sets a poor example for the younger generations, who we want to get along with each other. Thankfully almost every security guard in Farmingdale is black, otherwise that school would be a tragedy. Lots of racism and segregation having been flowing through that school district for decades, starting at the grade school level. If you didn’t know, now you do ❤

Just go fully remote learning we don’t live in the same world as we did 20/30 years ago etc.
