Here in Donegal, Ireland we're paying 3-4 euro for the (small) bales of hay much the same for the small bales of straw. Round bales are going for 30-35 euro. And round bales of straw are going for 25-30 euro. Good Wexford straw 30-35. (Chamber baler 4x4) None of that weighing craic here, typical Irish thing ! 😂😂

90 euro per ton for straw baled isn't too bad i guess. Last year we were closer to 110/115 for local straw here in the Netherlands. And that was a good year. Later on we got German straw for 120-130 (depending on the delivery date). Not sure what it will be at this moment, heard something 117/118 delivered from France (have to unload myself). That wouldn't be too bad considering the year. Although i don't know how the weather was in France during wheat harvest. 😊

we sell our straw and all the time i get from customers is your round bales are too dear, i can buy bales at £18, i tell them i can bale you bales and sell them to you at £18 if you want but there wont be much in them, i could never understand why bales here are never sold by weight

Prices in Portugal are more than 200 euros 1t of hay, I heard that people are buying in France and selling in Portugal. Any one knows what is the cost of transportation per ton from France to Portugal?
