One of the things I love about this channel is the 'brains over brawn'; or maybe 'skills over dollars' approach. All of your builds from Mater to Blue to the buggy are relatively basic self-built rigs without 6-figure hardware and yet you prove over and over that skill trumps cubic dollars every time. As a marshal (judge) I thank you for pointing out we are volunteers letting others have fun. In the UK we often have a Steward who can review a decision if you really feel the need. We tend to say you need to see the vehicle hit the cane/cone to call it. If unsure then benefit of the doubt. As competitors we need to support the marshals/judges otherwise we won't have any 😮 Drivers can learn a lot from judging and trying to be both fair and consistent.
