From the time when BBC were still interested in such things.

Five years on and the BBC has gone seriously down hill even since you left your comment.

I remember watching this documentary when I was a teenager in the 90s, and seeing that Saab 2000 landing really hard at 59:15. Spent ages searching for it now just so I could see it again. Wasn't disappointed.

Thank you Hans for uploading this, I was 7 years old at this Airshow with my dad. I had this on VHS too but it was lost after a house move. I was always interested what the music was at 44:51 and it turns out it can be found here: Rhayader Goes To Town kzbin.info/www/bejne/g4TNgJKoobaNhpo Back when Farnborough was a real airshow with great foreign participation. Its now become a pure business show with a real lack of cutting edge show stoppers as was seen in the 1988-2002 years.. Shame but RIAT, MAKS and PARIS reign over Farnborough now.

The MiG 25 was there that year. It made the loudest noise I've ever heard.

"It's impossible to underestimate what this service means to outback Australians." In other words it means nothing to them. I don't think that is what he meant to say!

Airbus test pilot, "the pilot still needs SOME flying skills." Flawed Airbus philosophy which has been responsible for almost every accident in the last decade. Unfortunately Boeing started drinking that kool aid which may now lead to their demise with the 737 MAX.
