the Kubel Cruise at the end was fun. but very dangerous to film.....Try one handing a ebike holding a camera to keep it in frame. Over bumps rough roads On blood thinners. If you fall and hit your head your dead in less than a minute.

Great video, Mike. Thanks for taking the time to video it all for us. As I have said before, I’m California dreamin here from the UK, where 95% of all our VW shows are now filled with watercooled cars from the 80s and 90s these days, with only a handful of aircooled cars ever making it out 😔 sadly, it’s all changed a lot at UK Vw shows in the last ten years.

the funny thing is the 80s and 90s cars are disappearing here. they wont pass smog. Everything 76 and newer needs to get a smog check. parts are no longer available for cars that old. So they go to another state and POLLUTE.....Great idea to save the world ha ha

My dad bought a new VW bus in 1965. It had so much room for my parents and 3 kids after the 1959 Bug. He drove it for about 5 years before he gave it to my brother who put a corvair engine in it. Had to take off the engine cover because the corvair was too long. I believe he had to change the ring gear or something because the Corvair rotated in a different direction. Anyway, my brother was hell on everything and it did not last him long. I am not sure what he did with it. At the time it was worth almost nothing. Wish I had it now.

yea that is what is coming more soon. The interview with the Double cab guy is the start of that. some will have stories like it was my grandmothers car and she gave it to me. and that sort of thing. in the mix of the show.

Yea but the new venue is Rancho Jurupa park. They lost the Prado dam Regional park. Too many people not following the rules. (unlicenced vehicle cruising like go carts mini bikes and stuff like that.. donuts in the dirt, Same stuff is happening here I am betting we loose this in a few years. too.

The blackstar camput goes into the El Prado show and shine. At the same venue. Sunday is the show. campout starts on Wednesday. Now in Riverside CA at Rancho Jurupa Park.

yea I am not into the lowering thing or narrowed either. but many guys are. There are a lot of guys who lower patina cars all makes and models. I like original. I lowered stuff when I was young but not much anymore. My green car is lowered a little 2 inches but that is as far as I go. people dont even know its lowered they just think it looks cool and dont know why
