PLEASE NOTE: As of version 5.5 'Save Copy of Scans' has been removed and you can now use the import / export menu to export as .fls

When I am trying to export I click in my workflow SCANS IMPORT/EXPORT and there is no export scan point cloud. I have done the preporcess and there has been a point cloud generated. I am trying to go from scene to cadzone with the point cloud any suggestions would be very helpful thank you.

HI David, are you looking to export your project point cloud? You can do this by going to File / Scan Project / Export Project Point Cloud.

what about in 5.4.4 and utilizing the new function that Si Horton talked about

Dave C Hi Dave, there is .rcp export in SCENE 5.4. which is good, however I personally find when you are dealing with larger projects sometime it is helpful to be able to combine export methods. For example there is a really good feature in the project point cloud creation which balances the colours of your scans and eliminates duplicate points. As things stand, to take advantage of this you would then need to bring your project (or part of it) out as an E57 file.

Chris Palmer do you know anything about exporting to Edgewise?

Dave C When I have used it in the past, it literally indexes and copies the raw laser scan files so that you can open them up in that package.
