The Nigerian legal system is gone. The judiciary is the dirtiest in the world. As a lawyer with a few decades post call experience, it brings tears to my eyes. But the truth is constant. There are a thousand legal loopholes in this gentleman's opinion. But why should I bother myself on this forum? What difference will it make? Our judges are the most corrupt in the world. Those robes have been defiled and desecrated. If you doubt me, find a judge to visit at home. In 98% of the time, their opulence and ostentatious disposition will leave you in no doubt that the judge is living above his or her income. How can Nigeria survive with so much injustice and corruption, especially by men and women who swore to protect the poor and less privileged ?

It is wrong to argue that the Criminal Code is superior to the Ekiti State Criminal Law because the former is a federal law. As far as the administration of criminal justice is not on the Exclusive Legislative List, the states have the jurisdiction to criminalize or decriminalize any offense. It's like saying that the Rivers State Arbitration Law is subservient to the federal Arbitration and Mediation Act.
