Farrah Leni Fawcett (born Ferrah Leni Fawcett;[1] February 2, 1947 - June 25, 2009) was an American actress. A four-time Primetime Emmy Award nominee and six-time Golden Globe Award nominee, Fawcett rose to international fame when she played a starring role in the first season of the television series Charlie's Angels.
Fawcett began her career in the 1960s appearing in commercials and guest roles on television. During the 1970s, she appeared in numerous television series, including recurring roles on Harry O (1974-1976), and The Six Million Dollar Man (1974-1978) with her then-husband, film and television star Lee Majors. Her iconic red swimsuit poster[2] sold six million copies in its first year in print. Fawcett's breakthrough role was the role of private investigator Jill Munroe in Charlie's Angels, which co-starred Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith. The show propelled all three actresses to stardom. After appearing in the show's first season in 1976, Fawcett decided to leave Charlie's Angels. She later returned as a guest star in six episodes during the show's third and fourth seasons (1978-1980). For her work in Charlie's Angels, Fawcett received her first Golden Globe nomination.
In 1983, Fawcett received positive reviews for her performance in the Off-Broadway play Extremities. She was subsequently cast in the 1986 film version and received a Golden Globe nomination. She received Emmy Award nominations for her role as a battered wife in The Burning Bed (1984) and for her portrayal of real-life murderer Diane Downs in Small Sacrifices (1989). Her 1980s work in TV movies earned her four additional Golden Globe nominations. Although Fawcett weathered some negative press for a rambling appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman in 1997, she garnered strong reviews that year for her role in the film The Apostle with Robert Duvall. In the 21st century, she continued acting on television, holding recurring roles on the sitcom Spin City (2001) and the drama The Guardian (2002-2003). For the latter, she received her third Emmy nomination. Fawcett's film credits include Love Is a Funny Thing (1969), Myra Breckinridge (1970), Logan's Run (1976), Sunburn (1979), Saturn 3 (1980), The Cannonball Run (1981), Extremities (1986), The Apostle (1997), and Dr. T & the Women (2000).
Fawcett was diagnosed with anal cancer in 2006 and died three years later at age 62. The 2009 NBC documentary Farrah's Story chronicled her battle with the disease. She posthumously earned her fourth Emmy nomination for her work as a producer on Farrah's Story.

She looks simply divine. So fit and elegant. Its a shame to show her just from waist up. Too bad she later got a nose job and ruined her face. Also sad she ended up w that abusive guy, Ryan. Her demeanor and speech is so elegant. She could have done so much more. I think she was black listed after "Charlie's Angels." She could have been as big as Racquel Welch. I remember first time I saw her on TV. I was simply awestruck w the beauty of her and Jaclyn Smith. Farrah breaks all the stereotypes. Pretty women are superficial, not intelligent, catty (fight w other women), etc. R.i.p. pretty lady.

If I had her long silky beautiful shining hair, I would be touching and playing with it constantly. But I read in somewhere she said she had that wavy mane of fluffy hair that covered both sides near her eyes, so she wouldn't see people staring at her. It must cause her anxiety to have people constantly staring and listening to her.

It was a scary time in the 80s. People were free to do pretty much whatever they wanted. Some men did whatever they wanted. They didn't have society looking down on them. You could be pushed, pulled, grabbed, dragged on to guys laps, thrown on a table while being an waitress, have doors closed and not be let out of places. On and on. So you're very correct. Then there's women who hate you for no reason and the big surprise was some men who instantly hate you for no other reason than you were alive and female. To be honest though there's nothing like the feeling of walking into a large room and have everyone stop and stare. Then it gets annoying and you want to punch the next guy who says anything about how you look. Most men will just stare and do nothing else but there's the other 20% you just dont know about. Times have sure changed but there's still those guys you just never know.

Then her image is cemented .could have went of and done films .it all went down hill .nobody would touch her .they were feared she would sue them too .to get out of contracts.shame really but her own fault .you've got to play the game .build yourself up .then discuss fees

@@catnip824 Actually I'm not jealous of any woman. More like the other way around. I'm part Swedish and descended from an unbroken line of natural blond(e)s and no one is more naturally blond(e) than Scandinavians. It also means I can tell the difference between a natural blonde and someone who gets their hair colour out of a bottle. No one is "born blonde." Natural blondes are born bald and they have blonde eyelashes. Children with blonde hair and dark eyelashes, their hair darkens when they get older. They are also more likely to dye their hair blonde when they get older. They also don't have one parent or grandparent with natural blonde hair. That's the case with Farrah Fawcett. Neither of her parents were blonde, so where do you imagine she got blonde genes from - your imagination - and if she's was a natural blonde, it's a pity she dyed her parting black. In fact, her hair got blonder as she got older. She was never the same shade of blonde. P.S. Farrah Fawcett was a descendant of the Choctaw tribe of Native Americans. She had no Scandinavian DNA, so it wasn't in her DNA to be blonde. Natural blondes are genetically blonde, not just blonde as children. Michael Jackson's son, Prince, was hardly a natural blond. If anyone is jealous, it's you. 😁
