Farrakhan v. Gregoire - U.S. Court of Appeals - 295573-1-DVD - 2010-09-21 - An 11-judge panel at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals heard oral argument Tuesday on whether the state of Washington can ban felons and ex-felons from voting. This was the second time the Court is hearing the case. Earlier in the year, a Ninth Circuit three-judge panel overturned Washington's felon disenfranchisement law because it disproportionately affected minorities. Filmed by C-SPAN. Funny how this brother gets cut off every time he's about to make a valid point then immediately asked a deflecting question. These white supremacists have a list of strategic questions and they have no response for the answers he's giving lol

It's the freaking 9th Circuit bro. This is how it works regardless of your color. Judges want answers to questions right away for the next similar case. Also, you don't vote to hear a case en banc if you are racist. A majority of the 29 Judges have to decide to do so.

My goodness!!!!! While this young man is answering one of their questions, another of them is coming at him with another, before he can even finish, they interrupt him with another decisively different direction, like being shot 17 times at the same time. I don't think he got to finish even one comment! He is much better. Besides they interrupted him and ate up his time... then told him he only had 3 minutes. Despicable!! Now the white guy won't have as much problem. Awful. Sure but millions jailed for marijuana and now they sell stock in the cannabis. Total disregard for the law. They would not be in jail in the first place if not for profiling.

Congress pulled a fast one here. While this case was still in court, and before it went to appeal, Congress removed the prior statute and enacted a new one, that was even more discriminatory. But on appeal, the appeals court said that since the first statute had been repealed, they couldn't hear arguments about it, although the new statute had the same exact language and had an even worse effect on discrimination.

Imagine if you were ... say ... a judge. And you heard, by rumor, that the entire police department did unconstitutional stop, searches and seizures, but only of Black people. Then you found out that you only got to hear cases where the police department and D.A. office only presented Black citizens charged from those same unconstitutional stops, searches and seizures. You go to your law search engine and find it's a nationwide practice. You as a judge are to uphold the constitution, now what?

Fundamentally implies although the criminal justice is fair "On Paper", it isn’t quite that way in practice. Arguing in a general sense, with all things being equal, whether or not felons/ex felons should have the rights to vote, would be seen as just that. But since higher black imprisonments are also byproducts of harsher convictions than whites get for the same crimes, (Thus unequal justice) then anti-felon voting rights would tactically effect more blacks than whites who're felons/Ex Felon.

True. You can't fight a system that just doesn't give a damn about your people or your cause. They have technical ways of saying it too. I'm over it, I'd rather take the law into my own hands than wait a million years for the KKK to have a change of heart. It'll never happen.

If you prove you can't be trusted it doesn't matter that you suffered for it! All that matters is that you have proven by virtue of your actions that you are not a good person! If you can vote for people lenient toward crime in order to commit crimes later and get a lesser sentence it is not in the best interest of the public! Should a felon be able to own a gun? I have a friend that is a felon and can't defend his family because he beat a cop 20 years ago!

And also haven't the whites shown they should not be trusted ? So that wasn't a smart statement. We the Americans had 608 treaties with the natives and we the Americans didn't adbide to any of them . So should America be trusted? Who did 9/11 who sank the Titanic, who funded both sides of the ww1 and ww2, presscott Bush gave Hitler Money during ww2 isn't that treason ? Yet his son and grandson became president! 😎 Do more research sir with no hate involved and you will see who is behind all that is happening in the world!
