Great instructional Presentation.. I’ve just been Prescribed these Farrow Compression Devices to help With Vascular issues and Diabetic Ulcer issues in my foot and Toes .. I’ve been previously using Compression Stockings from which I had little to no success .. I’m really looking forward to using these farrow cross overs on the advice of my Tissue Viability Nurse Specialist here in the UK 🇬🇧

I'm 130 kg (286 lbs for North Americans) and live in hot, tropical Darwin Australia. Where the "feels like" temp is 42c (99f) for 6 months (Oct to Dec - our very humid Build-up - and Jan to Mar - our Wet Season) and 33c (85f) from April to Sept (our Dry Season - "winter"). I l'm a professional man of 70, live alone and find it nearly impossible to put -on my Farrow-wrap stocking - as my waist is too big - 132 cm. Honestly, most days from October to March, I can't wear my single stocking, as the heat-stress it causes is races my heart. Though April to September is OK - our cooler Dry Season. I wear shorts year-round - as most people do, here in Tropical Australia. It might be good for the Arctic North America and Europe - but it's v-e-r-y hard to wear in a Tropical city.

@ Kym Yeoward I hope you are ok with the sock bit of it .. I’m in Adelaide and I have chosen this over zip compression stockings and my vascular nurse recommended it as I live alone too and it seems ok to apply it’s so hard to know what to do.. I’m glad I’m not in the tropics anymore my family are in Townsville.. 👍

have had 4 sets of these full leg always rendered opless after the velcro gose so that said where is the velcro adapters you now use its not like there cheap the terry liners to get in uk am been asked 90 quid a pair come on guys the velcro adap5tions should be free

but can you show me this being applied on bigger size people... not just average size people

Can you wear regular socks under the Farrow Wraps instead of the brown ones that come with them? ty

The brown ones have compression for the foot and ankle. We recommend using those. With regular socks, you stand the risk of increased swelling in the foot.

​@@Selfcaretherapy thank you for all this information after watching your videos it's really helped me a lot I've been using this wrap now for about 2 yrs and it's great even when I go without it and I swell back up I'll start all over and it gradually gets right I mainly use it with wide lymphademia socks that works pretty good keeps the foot warm. Thanks again.

Do you leave the wrap on overnight?

It depends on your situation. For most it is only necessary to wear them during the day. It's nice to give the skin a break from the compression at night. But as always, talk to your medical provider or lymphedema therapist for individual advice.
