Im curious how many time to apply the prosthetic ? And for the painting ? Your work is amazing !!!
@SidneyCumbie7 жыл бұрын
Thats what sucks about my job. Prosthetics like these you can only apply once and through them away. So needless to say the cost really adds up

once you use the prosthetic can you still use them again
@SidneyCumbie8 жыл бұрын
Nope.. never. with foam latex the prosthetic gets destroyed taking it off. thats what makes these videos very very expensive. Just the price of the prosthetics alone in this video is $750. Now if we put the full cost of the Makeup artists day rate, contacts, custom wardrobe and makeup I would roughly say the total cost would be around $2000... Now the cost is high because we are working with the best prosthtics in the industry, talented makeup artist, and hand painted eyes.

damn have you tried to make your own prosthetic
@SidneyCumbie8 жыл бұрын
Jodie Krampota when the money is right I do make my own. but it's cheaper to buy from RBFX alot of the time

How breathable are these prosthetics? Do they have to closely monitor the room temp so you don't over heat?
@SidneyCumbie7 жыл бұрын
half the time i cant breath out of my nose at all and Im pretty sure i couldn't in this one. Foam is much better than silicone with your skin breathing but if its just your head then you're fine. I was in a full latex creature suit with full head covered as well and that you need to monitor. I lost 10lbs that day

Oh my gosh!! That sounds horrid!! >.o yeah I bet that would be really uncomfortable and dehydrating.

We can we see you make the prosthetic and molds? I wanna learn that material and equipment used. Do you have videos like that?
@jacquelineclaybrooks45628 жыл бұрын
I follow you in Instagram, and I seen the prosthetics and molds you posts but not how you make it or how to use the equipment. I was just interested

Jacqueline Claybrooks this makeup would roughly cost $2000 dollars to hire the artist and get all the materials. to make a prosthetic of this caliber with the sculpting, molding, cleaning, mixing, baking, filming would cost me around $4000 at least... I really don't have the time or money to do a video like that. I could do a small cheaper version with cheap materials but even then most people won't be able to bake foam latex in a foam oven... and I work many jobs so the time to do that wouldn't be worth it. I don't make money from youtube. I would say buy already made videos you can find either from Stan Winston school or a few other places..

Oh wow, so this is nothing like the stuff I see elli mac, glam and gore, or freako do. There stuff you could do at home. So I can't make foam prosthetic at home ?
@SidneyCumbie8 жыл бұрын
Jacqueline Claybrooks also I do have a few videos where I make teeth and sculpt a tiny bit look through them... but I'll definitely try some dyi stuff soooon!

Aww, that's a bummer. I was trying to film some of my ideas and needed to learn some special effect makeup for some of my films. I really like how foam looks. I'm a surgical Technologist, so I'm just doing it for fun but I want it to look realistic on film.
