I love how Beck knows he just kicked Clapton's ass (2:35 mark) and Clapton knows it too! Hahaha When Beck starts to play, it's like someone turned on the electricity

I think it was two guys who came up together having a good time. Clapton never tried to be Beck. Nor did Beck try to sing like Clapton.

@@patricksullivan7140 - Probably some of that as well, however there is always competition between guitarists. If you ever saw the clip where Les Paul pulls the cord out of Beck's guitar, you'll see what I mean. I'm pretty sure you can count Les Paul as one of the greats. As a guitarist, you just want to be better than the other guy. It's a natural feeling.

@thomasedghill7940 yeah you are probably right. I play guitar as well. 😆 One of the tunes l cut my teeth on soloing was this one. Clapton's part mainly. A few Beck licks, but let's face it. Who can touch Jeff Beck? 😁

I saw this in first release on the big screen, love the whole movie, but this performance in particular made me smile. Jeff and Eric looked like they enjoyed playing together. Jeff Beck is playing the "Tele-Gib" guitar built for him by Seymour Duncan. I love the look on Erics face at 2:34 !
