I Spy ...i absolutely agree..you don't sacrafice your livelihood for someone you're not deeply moved by. I believe he was attracted to her before he met her then fell helplessly in love with her. By his own words she possessed all the qualities he found attractive in a woman. Class, style, grace, her essence and especially her beauty. Thats what captivated him. Not to mention her talent was unmatched. He was like a school boy around her, it was so cute and refreshing to see. Loved them together.

Linda Patterson. I think there was something that could have grown between them, but the timing was not right. Whitney was a little church girl and divorce for her would mean that she failed God. Kevin was married which added further complications. I think she would have soared with him if the timing for both of them had be right.

Whitney was really happy during that time and i love that Kevin let her soak it up..He knew what she needed and didnt hold back in giving it to her..He was willing to sacrifice his career for it..Men of this statue dont come along often..i wished they could have made it work. When she turned the conversation to Bobby she always had to pump herself up. You could see her going into overdrive. It was always forced. I think when the movie was finished She made herself continue with Bobby.

She may have loved Kevin but she would have honored God and continued trying to make a bad relationship work, because that what little black church do. Even if the bad relationship is poisonous. We do that because of oftentimes erroneous teaching in the church. We often wonder what things would be like if things had worked out between her and Kevin. And, if Kevin loved Whitney, every once and a while he wonders as well.
