Unfortunately more than a review, i felt it was just a comparision between Farzi and Breaking Bad, Farzi and Family man. Every show has its own way of story telling. If we keep comapring the show with previous hits then we will never be able to accept the new forms. Farzi definitely is outstanding in its own way. Never felt that it was boring or felt stagnant any point in time.. Binged for 8hrs and for me it was a marverllous series. I am excited for season 2 and yes i never compare, cuz i know we will have to accept each story is different. Fact: Farzi was meant to be a film 9 years ago, but Raj and DK knew that this kind of story cannot be said in just 2-3hrs. I am glad that they came up with a series. FARZI ❤‍🔥❤‍🔥

Raj and DK should make a spy movie. YRF should've gotten these guys to make Pathaan. Loved Pathaan but I know that with these two, it would have been a tad bit realistic!

I agree ideally they would have been the best people to direct Pathaan but I think the spy universe is meant to be larger than life and over the top. Also Pathaan’s aim was to cater to SRK’s fans (I’m one of them) and i think it served its purpose

Suchin, you really hit the nail on its head with this review.. 👏 Farzi undoubtedly is engaging and millennial-appealing .. It has very grungy, grimey Gully Boy vibes too.. but at the same time it’s a derivative of BB and Family Man.. and it got kind of unbelievable when he tricks Megha by installing that program etc.. from that episode the series kind of derailed.. they made her look like a gullible idiot just like how they write girls in such series, when in fact she’s the one who identifies the kota note just by looking at it! 😅 and don’t get me started on the final episode, pure masala garbage.. Sunny kills multiple people in it? How? I just couldn’t believe his character could do all that..

After watching Farzi, I was searching for good reviews on this show to understand how people are recieving it. It might be snobbish of me, but no reviewer yet could understand this show. Including you guys. A review that doesn't even discuss Menon's sheer brilliance of a performance, and has an issue with explosive action sequences even when the show explicitly points out that there's 12000 crores of counterfeit currency at stake, making the explosiveness of the show justifiable, is just a misunderstood critic in my books. The show's motif is extremely clear and if you had trouble understanding it, then I don't think you should be criticising the show for something you never understand. An anti-capitalist character trying to find meaning in his art, trying to manage his life through a series of loans, and struggling from his father's past is somehow cliche-d? I agree with your points on Vijay Sethupathi, Breaking bad and lack of Rak & DK-ness. The show is enthralling if you've ever been poor. "Jab aap gareeb hotein hain toh har jagah Paisa dikhta hai" Jab aapko Paisa dikhne lagega, aap show samajh jayenge. Here's hoping for better work from you guys.

The best scenes were between VS and Zakir Hussain. Sunny getting close to Rashis charcter was very cliched and so silly. Im on 6th episode now since that mobile hacking kind of losing interest.

DEFINITELY A GREAT WATCH! Enjoyed it more than The Family Man. The story is consistently interesting and on-the-edge (except for Vijay Sethupathi's unnecessary marriage-divorce drama that seems forced). And even if the theme is vaguely similar to Breaking Bad, NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT. This series still feels like a fresh experience. And Shahid is a showstealer, doesn't dissapoint even though you may not be rooting for him to win. Dont hesitate people, just stream it.

Don't listen to this guy.- He has no clue what he has seen. This is a Brilliant Show ,Top notch acting and the best directors rather story tellers in the industry currently. SM struggles under the weight and legacy of the superior literary and thoughtful film commentary which Rahul Desai provides, or the fun, thoughtful, sharp and topical reviews which Sucharita and Anupama do. So he resorts to shallow and unnecessary criticism to stand apart. Restraint is being mistaken for lack of inventiveness. Can't blame him. 2022 has seperated the masala seekers from the craft seekers. Remind me a web series where the craft of not just one two, but of 5-6 terrific actors was on display like this. Kaykay career was on life support on meaningleas roles in some semi indie movies, he was chewing the scenery in every scene, Shahid Kapoor showed how under utilised he's in formulic roles, Bhuvan Arora .. who was Bhuvan Arora, I swear I didn't know Rashi Khanna was some actress, Zakir Hussain is modern day Amjad Khan who doesn't get enough roles and above all Vijay Sethupati made it look easy peasy such heavy lifting. 2-3 episodes were stretched but that's the curse of the middle overs in 50 over match aka long form storytelling. This is tight, rip roaring storytelling which aimed for characters and hooks and not cheap gags or standalone Moments. That's tough to do and admirable

Family man’s family blends well with the story but here it doesn’t. Other than that the plot and story telling is quite good. Hard to keep making exceptional content in all attempts I think …. Farzi is good but not as well rounded as Family man. And then there is the issue of a cop and bad guy who are both stars and unfortunately it seems to heading down a path of saving the bad guy as long as possible (next 1-2 seasons of it gets renewed) unlike family man with clearer black and white characters

Everything and everyone except Shahid Kapoor are good in this series. The clothes, hairstyle, makeup given to Shahid is like a star from the beginning. Doesn't suit Sunny's character. Also acting is very mediocre. Voice modulation is also bad. Almost felt like watching Kaminey again. Rest Kay Menon, Vijay Sethupati, Rashi and Firoz are all great. Bringing back Chellam sir was mind blowing.
