I have FSD V13.2.2 on my Cybertruck and it works great. I use it around town and have recently used it on a trip from KY to my home in FL. The improvement versus V13.2.1 was obvious. On the trip from FL to KY, I had V13.2.1. However, I received the over-the-air update for V13.2.2 while I was in KY. So, on the same 1200 miles of roads, I got to compare the FSD performance of the latest builds. I'm willing to admit, V13.2.2 drives better/safer than I drive.

I am 87 years old and am driving my new 24 model 3 with FSD 13.0 for the last 4 months with no interventions exclusively 99 percent of time. It is far superior to 12.5 no question. How can anyone not want a Tesla with this fantastic feature. Better than human driving.
@health101DOTorg20 күн бұрын
It's amazing to me how many people don't consider the safety aspect of FSD when deciding to buy/subscribe to it. That would be my FIRST consideration. If FSD (supervised or not) could prevent even ONE accident, it would be worth it, and you can't simply "run the numbers" and compare two scenarios because one accident could you leave you or someone else injured for life or dead. Can't price that in.
@trina210020 күн бұрын
Agreed. I had someone get in my car and ask that I NOT use FSD and I had to explain to them that it's a safety feature and they might as well have asked me to not wear my seatbelt. People don't fully understand the safety aspect of it yet. I've already had the car intervene twice to save me from an accident and I turn it on every time I drive for the added safety.
@health101DOTorg20 күн бұрын
@@trina2100 And now for the controversial point: Since AutoPilot on the highway is a safety feature, it comes standard, because Tesla never charged for the non-mandated safety features it invented (like other car makers do). So since FSD is a HUGE safety feature (because most accidents happen on city streets), shouldn't FSD come standard? I know TSLA investors don't want to hear this talk, but how about 3 levels of FSD: Safety (free), Chauffeur (fee), and RoboTaxi (bigger fee). And even when Teslas are Level 4, to use Safety FSD, someone must be sitting in the driver's seat and keep their eyes on the road (but the time not looking ahead can be longer than now). Plus, when a senior gives up their license due to age, they get Chauffeur FSD for free. To my mind, that's fair and provides maximal safety... and it sounds like something Elon would do.

As a paraplegic, I drive a M3PHighland with full FSD. Handicapped parking spaces are soon to be a thing of the past. As of today I park the car at the back of the parking lot (not ideal) but I don’t need to return to my vehicle because I (Summon) my Tesla to the Mall/Store Entry/Exit doors. Soon Tesla’s will be authorized to allow the driver to exit the vehicle at the front door entrance and allow the driver to use Summon to park the Tesla with no one in the vehicle. That’s just one real life situation besides me driving for 3 hours and only 1 minor speed adjustment.

This is amazing, thank you for explaining! I've been thinking about how autonomous driving will save my parents from loosing the ability to drive as they become elderly and probably need a scooter, it's amazing to think that just as an accidental side effect, self-driving will be *more* convenient than a handicap spot!
@lovelife247lol20 күн бұрын
@@Dan-oe4ve Everyone mentions the many handicapped parking spots that’s close to the door. As someone that lives in that space of needing the extra space to open my car door wide enough to get my wheelchair out, I can say those spots aren’t nearly as open and available as people think they are on the weekend at the mall or concert or farmers market where the parking is on gravel or muddy conditions if it rained a day or two ago. Large venues and malls etc will start designating an EV autonomous section of the parking lot area. What about the school drop of area. Kids will be put inside their parents cars and the car will take them to the local school in the initial rollout. Allowing cities to incentivize FSD and cutting costs on buses. There are lots of discussions and many will not be fully developed for many reasons including political. However the conversations are happening and this is the time to get all the parties (private and public) together and create the new EV infrastructure.

@@lovelife247lol autonomous driving really changes everything and adds value in so many places, I can see how schools would utilize self-driving in the way you describe. I can definitely imagine a lot of places specializing their infrastructure for drop-off zones near the front of the business. I guess they could have handicap drop off zones with extra space, and then Express drop off zones to get people in and out real quick with more zones in less space. I'm thinking the business will benefit in other ways too because you could have just one shopping cart return right next to the building where you load your groceries into your car (in the drop-off pick-up zone) and return your cart right back into the building maybe even with a robotic cart puller taking it from you. And then there would be all of the parking infrastructure for the robo taxis that are picking up online pickup orders.

Something that I have not heard people talk about is the game changing benefits from simply increasing the time duration before the nag comes on? Meaning that the nag currently allows you to go one or two seconds without paying attention before it nags you. If Tesla can just steadily increase this until it gets to even just 1 minute, that would be game changing. At a one minute nag time, you could effectively use your phone and get things done. Even if after a minute, you would have to look at the road for say 10 seconds to “reset” the 1-minute nag allowable time, that would still be incredibly valuable to me. The car could also adjust the allowable distraction time to fluctuate up or down depending on weather and density of cars. On an empty highway, it would let you go more than a minute and in busy traffic, it might be less than a minute. It seems like Tesla might even be able to pull this off without requiring regulatory authority and leaving it technically as a Level 2 system for now. This could be a great interim phase until we get to unsupervised FSD.

If you buy now you'll be kicking yourself in a couple of months for not waiting like I did in 2003. I trust that TSLA will easily hit $3000 within the next 2-3 years, but not before the entire S&P 500, including TSLA, takes a serious 40% to 60% hit over the next year. Just look at the charts. They don't lie. I'm a long-term TSLA bull with a DCA of $125/share. Please, stop whining as the stock price drops and see it as a buying opportunity. If you’re already wealthy, why charge people to access your thoughts? By doing so, you create a psychological association of value with your ideas. This compels people to regard your thoughts as meaningful and worth remembering. Those who truly value your ideas are more likely to internalize and share them with others. Therefore, charging a membership fee for access doesn’t just monetize your thoughts-it helps amplify their spread and influence. However, there’s an inherent trade-off: by attaching a financial barrier, you may limit the reach of your ideas to those who can afford the cost. While this exclusivity can boost the perceived importance of your thoughts, it might also reduce accessibility for potentially valuable audiences who cannot pay. Balancing this dynamic-maximizing value without alienating people-could be key to making this strategy both impactful and equitable.

I expect that Elon already has roadmaps to migrate currently owned AI cluster resources to where they will be resized for tasks of best use in connected high data distributed processing as well as prebuilding new data centers to house the new processor capabilities before the processors are delivered. Starship, SpaceX, and new starlink lunar communication extensions are very fertile areas that will need much more capabilities going forward 😊

Farzad thinking unsupervised is "a year" away is ridiculous. We are clearly less than 6 months away. Actually, Tesla is likely already there internally. Buy the fucking stock now. This is headed for 10k/share.

We need to be creating videos on how the fsd tech translates to developing optimus and how soon optimus could transform labor, not focusing on fsd. That's solved in the near term.
