The part about Amazon shipping made me think of a time when I was 14, in a juvenile mental health institution. There was a boy named Quinton there, I'm not sure what his diagnosis was but he was very isolated and only really talked to the voices in his head. We had groups mornings and evenings to set a goal and then discuss what we'd done that day to accomplish the goal. Every single day for weeks his goal was to figure out why he needed to be there and to go home. Then one evening when they asked what his goal was he said it was to make people smile. The counselor scrambled with her papers for a bit and said, "That wasn't your goal this morning, Quinton." He just smiled ear to ear and said, "I know. I changed it. SURPRISE!" We all laughed so hard we cried. Goal accomplished. It was the brightest moment I'd seen in a while during a dark part of my life. 20 years later I still think about that and smile at least once a week.

Finn reminds me of someone I know. I worked at the same company as a young man I'll call Dan. We didn't work together, just at the same company and just once at our awards banquet, he met me. I quit that job and hadn't seen him for two years but I was volunteering at a festival and Dan was volunteering at another activity there. I went over to say 'hi' and asked if he remembered me and he said my name and everything I did...just so genuinely happy to see me. I could see that his amazing self was going to waste being paired up with someone with a mouth so tight she could suck a button off a sofa so I took him back to my activity to help out. He just had a MASSIVE crowd around him, talking to people and just shining like the moon. I saw him the next year and again, he listed my name, how long I worked at Company A but I had quit that job and worked for Company B now, just totally re-capped my life for me. I didn't see him last year due to the pandemic but the festival will be on this December and hopefully I'll see him there. I have another chapter as I have a different job now and need him to help me keep track of my life LOL. He's just delightful.

This boy is amazing. We need people like him. He will change the world one day. I’ve never seen someone so confident, so happy, so funny. He’s so silly I really can’t. This is making tearful. He sees the world in a light that I will never seen. He is the definition of an optimist. I love it. You’ll do great things!

Love him. I feel like we all have the thoughts and desires Finn has, but for those of us who are neurotypical we're afraid to do it in fear of being judged by others. He just does what he wants out of the good of his heart and it's super inspiring ❤️
