Great tool, Dan! Nerd that I am, I picture Spock, raising one eyebrow, and calmly saying “Fascinating” without any emotion, just legitimate fascination. (Of course, he then needs to get on with saving the galaxy so he doesn’t overly-dwell on it.)

Your timing couldn't have been better, Dan. This morning as I went on my morning walk, my brain made a tactical maneuver, shifting my symptoms away from the usual places to an area they had never been before. Instead of freaking out, I thought of two things: 1. This was yet more proof of TMS/PDP. 2. My relatively calm mindset was having an effect. Maybe I wasn't exactly fascinated, but I found it very interesting. And encouraging.

Great topic Dan. I actually tried this last night - felt like I had a high fever (didn’t!) and stepped into observer role and thought “isn’t it amazing what the brain can do!” Better than fear and despair. Put me into a calmer state of mind which is my biggest challenge. ❤❤

Good evening Dan, I wonder if, digging a little deeper, we find that the term 'Fascination' to be some type of subconscious declarative the brain does not recognise (either subconscious or conscious - in that subconscious to us with chronic pain is still a known palliative and engaging mechanism - versus the 'subconscious' we interpret as omniscient - or from some exterior location unknown to our Brain (perhaps slipping through our brains as a memory coping device) opposed to 'Fear" which encapsulates an emotion experience of chemical reaction to stimuli from within the brain - a 'known' commodity to the brain, therefore a 'trigger' point, in the same way as the muscular system in the human body reacts to overstimulation or discomfort through negative previous use causes 'trigger' points. Does the brain have it within itself to initiate 'trigger' points that are in turn interpreted as injury (coming as they would through unpleasant past reactions) and re-interpreted by the nervous system? I hope at least some of this makes any sense. I am a 55 year old male living in New Zealand with my Wife and our pets, and for the past two and a half years I have lived in the most unbearable agony right throughout my body, especially throughout the groin, hips and legs. I suffer from chronic Celiac Disease, small vessel vascular disease in my Brain, and this condition which to date no medical Doctor can find a medically based diagnosis for. Instead I have been given drugs that DO NOT WORK, and that I have had to ween myself from (including Gabapentin, which I recommend TO NO ONE SUFFERING FROM THE PAIN WE HAVE TO ENDURE). The pain is such I am now feeling mentally challenged by my condition/s, and every day I am terrified of going to bed knowing what is coming in the morning when I go to move. I have been shuffled from Doctor to Doctor, and last week to a Pain Clinic, where I think the Specialist there is onto something - then I saw your web page. Sometimes the pain is so bad my Wife has to move my legs for me as the agony is simply crushing. I have suffered some terrible injuries across the years of my life, but nothing like this. AND I FEEL AFRAID (AND I DO NOT want to write this no doubt because my Brain had such a hold over my life in a negative, paralysing manner). My Wife wants me to see another Specialist next week - And I can feel my brain already reacting to this by tearing through my legs with a broken bottle (as per usual). I took your test Dan which confirmed for me I can rid myself of this (well, a good deal of it anyway, enough to live without both the impact (unemployment, financial hardship, and the toll this is taking on my Wife), yet even though I know you are are the right Individual with the right concepts to help, this damned agony continues to make life, and the decision to come to you for help, one of continued emotional 'discussion' with myself. I think slowly I can get my Brain to circumvent whatever psychological trigger points I have (and having been an active service Soldier, coming from an abusive childhood where I was NEVER good enough, or just taking the beating anyway, and going through all of this now) and get myself to the point where I can reach out... I intend to Subscribe to your Channel as well Dan once I can get the courage up to do so... Thankyou Sir very much for allowing me to rant on like this. I really just want to delete this lot and go to bed, but I know if I do nothing will change and I will end up on the bottle or worse.

The brain has the ability to create any pain or symptom we experience. And, in my opinion, I believe it is all based on a brain perceiving danger. The brain is working perfectly, it's just working on misinformation and fear. To learn more, check out my fast start playlist. kzbin.info/aero/PLRJmnkn2kTTIl4frNvmpenr49xcTmVl2H

Hi it's me again just sent you a comment a couple of days ago. Forgot to mention I've had man mini strokes along with tinnitus and vertigo. Every day of my life for the last 15 years. Now I'm going into assisted living not sure it's the right thing or not. But have lost all excitement for life. Humidity , housework, everything makes my head worse. I've tried training brain to ignore tinnitus and vertigo it's not working. I'm sure I haven't done it long enough. I guess I'm giving up. But I live alone and very afraid. I can't work so I'm giving up my car also. I wish I could work more than anything. I will continue to watch you. I wish this was a success story. Thank you 😊
