Often times they resorted to bringing their own and doing it themselves. Yasmeen Ghauri did the same. I'm sure she decided early on to adopt what's become her signature hairstyle--long, straight with the part down the middle--to make things simple for herself. Can you imagine how much she must spend on hair and services in a year. It's likely more than what the average American makes in a year.
