With respect I think you’re projecting your own insecurities and finding something that isn’t there. I mean I understand she has insecurities like any other human and had/has body ‘issues’ as she described, but I see and hear an eloquent witty and very confident ‘speaker’ and woman. She appears fully in control of who she is and it totally unabashed to be it. The moments of almost being demure and also almost verging on arrogance subtly manipulate her audience - in a good way. She uses not only her body as an instrument but also her mind and character. That’s why so many ‘relate’ to her and project themselves onto her and why she is so successful.
@baudelaire138-Ай бұрын
@ with respect I don’t think you struggle to annunciate your sentences at all- therefore you have no idea. I know one when I see one.
@adminemailsАй бұрын
@@baudelaire138- With respect, you’re projecting. And maybe just a bit parasocial! Sorry but Kate’s not like you and is not lacking in confidence or eloquence. She is not struggling here in any way. Either to ‘annunciate’ (think you mean enunciate) or to express herself. Despite what your third eye or ‘spirit’ is telling you! She simply has a mindful pace, picks out her words thoughtfully and delivers in a mindful, witty and seductive style with good modulation and that velvety smoker’s husk. I totally understand that you believe what you believe though, even though you’re misguided. Hope you overcome those fears and wishing you strength 🙏
@zweckzero4Ай бұрын
ooh people are being a bit harsh with you here. what I take as Kate's hesitation is she is extremely shrewd about what she divulges in public. in fact she's a mistress of it. she's often underestimated in this sense. she's extremely clever and has navigated PR, press and guarding her own identity brilliantly in order to retain mystique but also privacy, where others have failed. she says this when she understands that she is a 'vessel' for other people's fantasies (and perhaps that's what she's provided for you here, someone to identify with, as only the best models know how). but I suspect she is very different in private and doesn't hesitate to speak her mind. I think it's why her friends have such loyalty to her. she has command over her public presentation as contrasts her private self, but I also think is a genuine person. she just understands how she has to operate under different systems with different people, very few folk get this! but she also knows that vulnerability and hesitation, humility makes for a much more likeable person and interview! so she's being smart there too. you see it in someone like Keanu Reeves. they consider carefully what they are saying because they know any slip ups mean a headline and upsetting or disappointing someone. and perhaps even losing work. but I do think people are shouting you down and each to their own, you may be right! if you talked to Kate Moss maybe she's agree. but I would say that the most confident people often admit up front their insecurities, and therefore vanquish them. the most genuinely insecure people are usually constantly trying to hide them. with bluster and arrogance. i think she's a great role model in terms of how she mixes humour and humility with confidence. people underestimating her because she makes what she does look easy, lots of women can identify with that!

I remember in high school the girls all choosing to wear a black cardigan…..it was the in thing(1964). We didn’t have a lot of spare cash but I asked my Dad if I could please get one too. And he asked me why , what’s the big deal? And I told him because everyone else has one. You know what my extremely wise father said…..well that’s a good reason NOT to get one. He was teaching me to be an individual. And it worked. I’m 76 now and when people come into my home they all say what a cool and cozy space it is. My friend calls me eclectic! Bravo Dad!

It's crazy to think that was acceptable then. This podcast is a very interesting concept, but it's not really in line with the idea of psychoanalysis, which is to get to the root of why we do what we do. What are the unconscious drives behind our behaviour. So, a question I would ask is why does Kate feel a need to please people with the way that she dresses? With our clothes and the way we dress a psychoanalyst might ask, what is it that we are seeking to cover up and why? I think the one revelation that startled me is when Bella said, almost as an aside, that she had been painted nude by her father. What was that about? And kate choosing to be painted nude when she was pregnant?
