It's good to stop saying it as we women are very prone to 'contagion' i.e. we take things on ourselves that we hear other women talking about, much more than men ever do. I did a special day at Highclere Castle on a recent visit to England. It was an all-day event and included lunch out on the lawn. It was fabulous. Met both Lady and Lord Carnarvon. The history of the family is fascinating.

I love your Gucci case and Dior purchases, those two brands are my favourites right now and I have been collecting the Dior Christmas decorations too. They are forever pieces that don't require any justification. Wait until you start collecting Louis Vuitton trunks! They are a weakness of mine, but they can be moved all over your home and seem to look good anywhere you put them! About 16 years ago I took my family and parents to Highclere Castle, before Downton Abbey was a thing and we always laugh at my mum being photographed outside Downton. It became one of her favourite shows to watch.

My little dog is a 20 pound half Maltese, half Shih Tzu mix that I adopted as an 18 month old rescue dog - he "hugs" me the same way Dickens hugs you when he puts his head on your shoulder!! Really 7000 for a coat . Ok, it was over half price, but even 3000 , you would just be afraid to wear it. You can get better coats for far less and last over 10 years or more. But then, if you're after a label, I suppose you're not interested in quality, just the brand. It's the same with bags I really dont get it that people pay so much for them when real gorgeous bags are a lot cheaper and again last so long.

Never mind the coat, £90+ for a dressing gown is mental! Especially when you have to replace it every few months. I have a few that are 10 years+ and still just as snuggly. Just wash with fabric conditioner and put in the tumble dryer and it’s just as fluffy as before
