This is how I build a quick wooden easel from scrap lumber. You can do this from strapping lumber, left over scrap, pallet wood or strips of plywood, it doesn't matter, it will work out perfectly! Follow the quick plan/drawing at the beginning of the video for dimensions and angles. This is a very short carpentry project! Easy to fold, carry and setup anywhere.
Some tools I used in the video :
Earplugs pack (200):
amzn.to/3dCQcGf (Canada)
amzn.to/2Lfjsqr (USA)
Protective Glasses:
amzn.to/3cnsPR5 (Canada)
amzn.to/3fzBMbP (USA)
Makita cordless drill and impact :
amzn.to/2xRw7wX (Canada)
amzn.to/2Le7e1z (USA)
Benchtop Thickness Planer
amzn.to/2AhdbIO (Canada)
amzn.to/35MTh45 (USA)
Disclaimer : I am not a professional. This is not a training video, I am simply showing you what I did.

I love how you show the importance of PPE. Especially the ear plugs. Or even the glasses are equally important but I think a lot of people skip out on the ears but it's like you people always hear the saying "you don't know what you've got, until it's gone." I've been told from doctor's/nurses that come into work and test hearing, that I have exceptional hearing and can pick up tones that are rare for humans to hear. This is probably because I started playing the guitar when I like 5. Ish. I'm 33 now. Maybe it's just me but I have always had sensitive ears when it comes to loud so maybe that's why I've always made sure to get plugs. Idk I'm rambling. Anyways love the video an thanks for letting everyone know that ear plugs are just as important as safety glasses or gloves or any other form of PPE. They make it for a reason.

Thanks for your great comment! You are right my friend. I always leave PPE near the power switch so I don't forget. Keep taking good care of your body, we only get one of those! Cheers!

One of my favourite easel builds yet! Thanks for posting man. I also don't see a lot of people using the radial arm saw in place of a tablesaw.

Great job. What is the saw you're using? I like how it can swivel, and seems very useful.

Hi Les, Thanks for your comment! It's an old Dewalt Radial Arm Saw. You can find those used for cheap and they work great for a small shop! Cheers!

What’s the final angle between the 2 front legs and the hind leg?
@OuttheCave
@OuttheCave 3 жыл бұрын
Hi, This angle is depending on the string that holds the back leg. You can set it to about 35 to 40 degree normally but, for instance, if you are painting outside and there is a bit of wind, you can make it larger so it will be more stable. Thanks for your question and don't hesitate if you need any other information about this project. Cheers!

There is no need for children screaming in the background. Pathetic.

I understand that you apologized for the misunderstanding which I find very humble of you. But this comment is unbelievably rube. People have kids and kids holler, cry an carry on, they're kids. Show me a kid who doesn't and I'll show you a kid who doesn't and I like you will apologize for being wrong. But if you learned anything about yourself I hope it was to think before you speak or post a comment because who ever reads or hears it is a person too.
