Yes I’ve seen her hack and I’ve tried it What I did was braids all the braids from the front into the back single braids so that you won’t have the bulk in the top like that.

I tried the Mara S Campo hack on myself. It was less processing time.for sure. It was heavy in the back, but I realized I put too many pieces on the feeder. The next time I do it, I will use dewer pieces. Also I will feed a few along the sides to cover the parts. In an essence, I like the hack.

@apriljames-clark1402 that's what I did too. Back was too heavy. I wore it for a few days then took it down. I'm going to try it again soon with less.

For Mara's hack i believe the back braids were closer to the side of the head rather than the middle of the section. I cant remember the bulk braid, i imagine it was braided toward the ear and joined to another braid in the back for a better camouflage.

I love it! I saw Maria's video before the holidays! its a blessing for those of us with Carpal Tunnel, really fine hair, and not proficient with cornrows. I've been hitting the salon every 4 to 6 weeks, for crochet braids. While my stylist is extremely affordable, and nearby! I would love to be able to save those coins, and be able to do my own hair, if needed! This video helped me understand how to use the beader! I have enough pre lopped crochet hair, to open a beauty supply and one head! Going to.order a header today! THANK YOU!

I just tried it last week. My hair is thick so next time I will break the back down into smaller sections and bring the illusions back further. I think I may also do illusions along the perimeter and the two rows in the back like you did.

I did the hack and ran into the same problem of having the hump. 😮‍💨 I did my plaits more towards the perimeter instead of in the middle. That helped to space the crochet hair more evenly. I have to think of a way around the hump.

That lady was in her genius creativity mode when she thought of this!! But I'm not sure about that back part. I've never tried it before. I've been sitting on my crochet hair for probably about a year now and I'm reay to do something with it because my hair is breaking off from split ends and I don't know what to do bc hair cut is not an option. Oh yeah that change to the back looks soo much better.

I tried Mara's hack. It's the faux dreads that are still in my head now, you can see the finished look in my latest videos. I wasn't smart enough to do six braids in the back like you did and my hair is thick so I just widened the holes and squeezed it over my braids. instead of combining those front braids with one big braid down the middle, I made a small anchor braid across the top and I braided the ends of the illusion braids in with my top back plat, if that makes sense. It's hard to explain but the idea was to get it as flat as possibe.

Hey sis.. You should have braided the 6 braids on each side closer to the outside near the ear (if that makes sense) to minimize gaps, as for the front plats you should have incorporated some braiding hair to the last braid in each row for length and then braided those into the back plats for flatness. I hope I've explained that for your understanding...

I do hair and after watching you do the top of the girl's head where you put a big French braid going across....I thought about each of those loose braids you were trying to hide...I would have added an extension to each braid. Braid the hair down to the length of the hobo hair then mix the hair along with the hobo hair. For the back of the hair I would have braid the hair going down for each braid add an extension to the length of the boho hair and mix them in. I see you did the box braids in the back like in the front which is good. The hair that you folded above you could have added an extension to those braids let them hang and mix them in with the hobo hair.

Im about to do the hack bc I need to do something quick and I dont feel like doing my hair. I did it before but I didn't finish bc I made the back too full......so This time Im going to do a middle part with individual boxes but the ends of those braids with be put into the braid below it and behind it so it doesn't go Straight down. This will give me a more natural look in the top instead of connecting the boxes str8 back. I actually do not like to see the braid in between the extensions.
