About Life Below Zero:
Life Below Zero follows six people as they battle for the most basic necessities in the state with the lowest population density in the United States. Living at the ends of the world's loneliest roads and subsisting off the rugged Alaskan bush, they battle whiteout snow storms, man-eating carnivores, questionable frozen terrain, and limited resources through a long and bitter winter. Some of them are lone wolves; others have their families beside them. All must overcome despairing odds to brave the wild and survive through to the spring. And when spring arrives in Alaska, rising temperatures bring mounting challenges as they work to prepare for yet another winter.

Later we'll peel the horn and eat the raw tips like pickles with a salad of mixed green that are partially digested from the elks stomach. Later for dinner I'll show you a wonderful recipe for brain and marrow casserole.

"You can actually get poisoned by too much meat." Jordan Peterson disliked that

Jordan Peterson adheres to that. He eats fried fat for treats. By meat, that means lean muscle.

If you get all your calories from protein, you have to eat a lot of protein. This basically overloads your liver and kidneys beyond their limit to handle urea and other waste products from the digestion and conversion of proteins. So.........you have to take in calories from other easier ready to use sources like fats and carbohydrates to keep things balanced. If you only eat the muscles of lean animals like caribou and rabbit, you'll be in trouble after a while. Fortunately most animals with lean muscles still have fat reserves in the marrow, the organs etc which means you have to consume it all. If you aren't a hunter gatherer but you still want to try a meat heavy diet then buy organ meats, ground meats(not lean), not lean cuts of whatever and eat a lot of bacon I guess lol.
