One advantage of motion blur is with 3D generated animations, such as frames generated from Autodesk products. Because rendering out with motion blur from inside the program takes forever (and isn't a good idea generally), it's smarter to do it in post effects. Now while 60fps usually doesn't need motion blur because it has enough frames, it also takes a long time to render that many frames for an animation. So an easier way is to just render 30fps from the 3D program, and then take that image sequence into after effects and add motion blur in there, this then suddenly makes the 30fps animation look smooth in motion and nice on the eyes, this is essentially integral for animation (because without it, looking at 30fps 3D animation without motion blur is jarring on the eyes).

If you want to correction motion blur for a collection of shots with incorrect shutter speed, is there a way to batch render? Instead of exporting one video at a time.
@tylermorgan4344 Жыл бұрын
Hmmm there isn’t a great way to batch render that I know of, best you could do is put everything into the Timeline with an adjustment layer

Cool video, on point, no waste of time, would love if other youtubers would do this! btw. I am wondering on how good this would work for a pov chest mounted gopro on a Mountainbike. Like, nowadays you cant really use nd filters anymore, cuz darker images the hypersmooth doesn't work so you need a bright image with a fast shutter, then try to make add 180° motion blur in post, interested to try this out. cheers bud!

I actually use this every time for my gopro FPV drone shots! It works great! Sometimes details like grass or trees will fall apart a little bit. In that case I would use a radial blur to just add some general forward looking blur!

is this the same way to make a person blur while running like the flash?
@tylermorgan43442 жыл бұрын
hmm I would say so!! I would rotoscope or mask out the person running from the background, then turn the blur wayyyy up!
