This is another one I made for the AMVs on Stage Concert at MomoCon! It was the first one I finished and Journey Back to You was actually my second submission. I'm so happy that both got to be played and Ben did amazing with them! It was even more exciting getting to be there in person! I did record this one too so I'll upload that after this!
Editors had to pick songs from artists that were already selected. I had no idea this song existed way back in 2019 when Detective Pikachu released, but NerdOut wrote the song specifically for the movie even if it's not part of the official soundtrack (it should be!)
I think it's ironic that I ended up pairing it with Sonic since they pretty much battled each other at the box office and Sonic ended up winning, lol. I love both dearly but if I had to pick a favorite between the two, Pikachu will always win my heart ;) I can't believe I didn't find this song earlier because I definitely would have used it! I LOVE all the references to Detective Pikachu like "with no RHYME or reason" (Ryme City reference) and "Link Up" (referencing the humans merging with their Pokemon)

I am familiar with some of NerdOut’s songs, but I never heard this song. Even though it’s for Detective Pikachu, it fits great with Sonic! Great job! You and NF95 have been pulling out videos, I’ve got to get back to mine!

Great video! Watched the first film not too long ago, I thought it was pretty good actually. It might have reignited some of the love I used to have for these characters. Though I will say, I have no idea if any of the story in the movie comes from the games or not, as I only watched SonicX

I'm kind of the same! I've never played any of the Sonic games and I haven't watched any of the series, but I still really liked the first movie when it came out and also the second one! Looking forward to the third!!

I will watch the second movie too when I get the chance. I actually went ahead and checked out the trailer for the third movie, and I gotta say, I'm already excited to watch it.
