probably bc it captured the time and era it was made and portrayed so well, it was alot of Nu-Metal, Rap, 90s Techno, 90s House, and it sounds very much like what everyone was listening to at that time in Street Racing Culture in the late 90s and very early 00s, 2 Fast 2 Furious and Tokyo Drift ALSO did this very well, 2F2F captured that "Chingy" or "Nelly" era of music well, and Tokyo Drift captured that 2004-2008 NFS:MW soundtrack of artists like The Prodigy or Disturbed or Styles Of Beyond, Pendulum etc etc

Man, what music to my ears. Great work on the visuals and mix! This truly was one of the last great eras! The movie really captured the car scene and meets at the time, all those racers and the like. The music, the aesthetics of the individual cars, the street wear that people wore, the groups getting together for the fun of racing, all of that portrayed so well. Now what do we have? everything nowadays is homogenous and corporate and stuff like this has all but faded away much like graffiti artists who made greatness in that late 90's to early 2000's period. Back then, the varying genres of music when this movie was released was insane, so much greatness to choose from, the listening pleasure was endless fun. If only one could go back to those times, even if just for a little while. It's one point in time I wish I had got to experience first hand....such alien and magical times.
