This is why I wish people here in the States would appreciate all aspects of the car culture like they do in Japan. Everyone seems real humble and friendly and love to talk about each other’s cars giving praise to the builder for expressing themselves to through their car. That’s the way it should, I don’t know where we changed our way of thinking

Couldn't have put it any better. Most "tuners" in the US would carpet bomb that meet with negativity if given the chance starting with that NOS stereo system but everyone seemed so complimentary and chill in the video i was temporarily confused.

RICKY it’s not just us Americans. I see it from Brits, Aussies, Canadians. It’s just with my experience of going to meets everyone has been very opinionated in the way someone else decided to customize their car. Telling em they shouldn’t have done this or shouldn’t have done that. Like it’s their car, their passion and if you don’t like it keep your mouth shut and move on. The builder built the car for themselves not make everyone else happy.

@@kanebehne3604 I have never been to a meet because I don't know how to find them I had a app, (im living in Germany) but it showed only one fucking car meet and that was all the way at nurnbürnring and I kinda feel like my country has some shitty laws like underglow is illegal and stuff so that's why I don't really see tuners here in Germany :( but when there's a car meet there are also not that often tuners like in there are lambo and Ferraris and I'm bored of that stuff I have already seen enough of them i want more tuners!! I'm glad I have seen my dream car a supra, didn't believe that it would happen one day

I have always respected and admired the Japanese and their ability to say “hey that’s not my style but I respect it” they have always had that extreme sense of self expression in car culture and a level of acceptance that we don’t have here in the states.

Leon Jones I didn’t know they let uneducated racists in the chat 😂 the term “ricer” originated when people began buying non American made cars. Now days, the term is used as a dig to anyone who wants to customize the cosmetics of their ride beyond the usual of what modern day society deems “normal” for visual enhancements. Let’s not forget though, the fart can exhausts 😂 so the issue here is that society now days calls people who like cars, and spend time and money making them pretty to their liking, ricers. When really, the proper term for a ricer is anyone who duct tapes a wing and bumper to their car and calls it fast. That’s what I meant by that and sorry for confusing you 😂

That orange car with the DC-style tails is definitely a Civic. There are a few of those Volkswagen-inspired 'boser' hood add ons. You can tell by the sweeping rear window quarter panel section. A lot of work - and bondo - on it. Nice looking car! Definitely nostalgic.
