Here is one of the City of Racine’s rear loaders handling a recycling route on the Wednesday route. Racine has a really nice variety of trucks, many of which I was able to record when I was up there so this will be the first of many videos of them that you will see from me. All of their drivers move at a really good pace, which was really fun to watch. The majority of the city has streets like this with some sections of alleys here and there, but I’m still surprised that they don’t automate routes like this where there are minimal obstructions, and they wouldn’t need as many trucks. Nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoyed watching their operation and I hope you guys do as well!
