A great introductory track, it teaches you excellently about switching phases, what the boost orbs do, even about boosting in the air being ridiculously fast if you do so! The music track is also really good.

Bonus note for Cameron Raceway: Probably the best of the six new RMX tracks, it's Cameron Crest but with Zvil Raceway's swinging roads, as well as a _ton_ of airtime. This track is also home to one of my favorite jumps in the game, you can cut off so much of the track if you boost in the air.

I remember playing this game in Feb 2017 at a Nintendo Switch preview event... playing on this exact track with one of the new vehicles (I think I went for the Cebra Genetics machine) It's hard to believe it's been six whole years since then.

So it may have been only added in with the first RMX update, but I noticed that tracks now have "3rd lap" themes. Hope someone uploads those sometime.

As far as I know, the Final Lap mixes are just sped-up and pitch shifted.

There are actually slight differences on where they begin compared top the regular music. I know Sunhara plains does this

They don't "begin somewhere different", they just transition immediately without starting over. So in a sense it "begins" right where it happens to be when you start the 3rd lap.

Issue I have is that online forces you into Subsonic speed class. Which is play Fulcon or Zvil otherwise you auto-lose in higher level play.

Okay, let's see here... The track is called "Cameron Crest" and the visuals look EXACTLY like the Hallelujah Mountains of Pandora from Avatar. James Cameron / Cameron Crest. It's a straight up homage to Avatar! LOL ^.=.^

It can be merely a coincidence, but "Hangar Games" sounds a lot like "Hunger Games", and the UFO`s in Tepaneca Vale are very similar to the ones in "Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind"

Shin'en use their own music file format, which allows them to compress the songs losslessly, but to a great deal.

A lot of stuff gets compressed in video games. Nintendo has their own music file format, which also compresses the audio losslessly, but not quite as effectively as Shin'en's method does. Also I doubt many game developers are dealing with MP3 files. When they're uncompressed they're WAVs, and when they're compressed they're OGGs or WEMs or BRSTMs (Nintendo) or OGLs (Shin'en) or whatever the hell they come up with next.
